    Scott's Activity Log - WEEK 5

    3/30/2013

    Location: Scottsdale, AZ  (Outdoors)

It was great to run outside for a change!  The weather in Scottsdale was a beautiful 85 degrees, and I ended up running much farther than I originally planned (kind of by accident... but I'll take it!).  Today's run racked up another 8.71 miles, for a grand total of 97.63 miles.  I can't wait until the weather warms up in Chicago so I can ditch the treadmill for the great outdoors!

Fundraising has slowed down significantly.  Gotta start drumming up more sponsors!

I was able to squeeze in a run before Easter brunch, and I'm so glad I did.  There is no way I would have had the motivation or energy to knock out a run after 5 hours of Easter feasting.  It was another gorgeous day in Scottsdale, and I logged 7.99 glorious miles, bringing my total to 105.62... which means I crossed the 100 mile mark before the end of my first month!  [victory dance]

I'll hit the fundraising trail as soon as I get back to Chicago...  HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

    Location: Lifetime Fitness Treadmill

I have to say I was really dragging today, and wasn't sure if I'd really be able to put in a good effort on my run.  HOWEVER, I was so motivated by recent donations from Andrew & Vanessa Watts and Bettie Sylvester that I couldn't help but run my butt off on the treadmill!  I put in 7.66 miles, bringing the running total to 113.28 miles and the fundraising total to $6,130.  What a great way to start off the month!

BIG THANKS to Andrew & Vanessa Watts and Bettie Sylvester!!!
