Location: Life Time Fitness - Vernon Hills (Treadmill)

 

Friday nights are always a bit of an extra challenge, just because my natural tendency is to want to relax and kick back at the end of a work week.  The good thing about them though is that the gym is nearly empty.  I see a handful of regulars there, but the masses are out at happy hour or dinner, which leaves me a quiet gym with easy parking.  Tonight I earned another 7.1 miles, bringing the grand total to 886.19 - still ahead of my target pace of 884.93.  I'll work in another run tomorrow and then take a few days off while I host out-of-town colleagues.

Location: Life Time Fitness - Vernon Hills (Treadmill)

 

I worked in another solid run at the gym today - 6.95 miles on the treadmill, bringing my total to 893.14.  With a target pace of 887.67, I've got a nice little cushion to allow me to take a couple/few days off.  Joe's off this week, so if I work this right I can squeeze in a run on Tuesday and Thursday in place of my regular strength training sessions.  That would give me four runs this week, which will be helpful since I have a lot of travel coming up.  Let's see what happens...

So far, so good!  Tonight's run was really strong.  I added 7.21 miles, bringing my total to 900.35 miles!  I've broken the 900 mile mark!  I'm 90% there!  I'm literally heading down the home stretch, and with a target pace of 895.89 I'm managing to stay ahead of plan.  I should be able to work another run in Thursday night too.  It's all good!

Excellent!  I managed four runs this week, which makes up for only doing two last week.  After adding another 6.88 miles tonight on the treadmill, my grand total is now at 907.23, with a target pace of 901.37.  This cushion is really important because I'm traveling extensively the next couple weeks and don't know when or where I'll be able to add miles.
