Scott's Activity Log​ - WEEK 32


Location: Half Day Forest Preserve, IL (Outdoor)


I'm beginning to relish these Saturday morning runs in the Forest Preserve!  Today required a little extra effort as I had an early morning flight from DC, and I had to muster up the motivation to get myself on the trail.  Boy am I glad I did!  It was another beautiful day, and I racked up another 7.23 miles!  The best news is that my shin wasn't too bad.  Perhaps I'm on the road to recovery?  I'm also gaining ground on my target pace.  It won't be long before I'm back on track!  It's all good...  :-)   


Location: Life Time Fitness Vernon Hills (Treadmill)


It was a little chilly and windy this afternoon with the threat of rain, so I opted for the treadmill.  I had a twinge of pain when I started my run, but it quickly disappeared and I logged a rather enjoyable 7.23 miles.  My grand total as of today is 592.27 miles, with my target pace being 602.74.  That means I'm just over 10 miles behind pace!  I still have a very long way to go to reach the finish line, but I feel like I'm on the verge of putting this nagging injury behind me and I couldn't be happier about the progress I've made the last several weeks!

I'm so close!  I'm SOOO CLOSE to 600 miles!  With the 7.2 miles I added tonight on the treadmill, I've accumulated 599.47 miles to date.  My target mileage at this point is 605.48 - so I'm just 6 miles shy of where I should be! This feels GREAT considering one month ago I was 57 miles behind my target pace.  I've been battling this shin injury for a while now... fighting the pain... icing every night... stretching several times a day... and keeping the faith.  And I'm ALMOST BACK ON PACE.  I'm more confident than ever that I will finish this journey.  Now I just need to raise the money!   


Location: Marriott Courtyard Opryland - Nashville, TN (Treadmill)


I'm inching my way toward the goal - literally step by step!  I managed to work in a 7.26 mile run on the treadmill while traveling today, which brings me to 606.73 miles.  My target pace is 610.96.  I'm less than 4 miles behind my goal!  I've gotta keep up the pace!  I know I can do this!!!
